Hello... and thank you for showing an interest in our event...

‘Life on the Holme Front’ is a hugely popular historical event for all the family, which takes place annually in Holme village just outside Peterborough.

Over the weekend, the village is transported back in time to the World War II era, celebrating and commemorating the important and vital role it played during the war years.

With an average of 15,000 visitors attending each year, the atmosphere in Holme village comes to life with the arrival of the ever popular WWII military re-enactors with their living history displays, who set up camp throughout the streets, fields and woods in and around the village.

There’s also a full programme of activities including a war time dance; ‘hair raid’ shelter where you can try out a hairstyle from the era; exhibitions; tearoom; 1940s inspired singers; vintage vehicle displays and a memorial parade on the Sunday morning.
